History of the Company:

 

Yui Kee Co. Ltd. originated from a family-run small district store opened in 1964 as Yui Kee's Stores. In the 1970's she developed into a wholesale supplier of foodstuffs to a wide range of commercial and industrial companies in the Southern District of Hong Kong Island, from Stanley to Pokfulam, while the original store continued to be a major supplier to sea fishermen in the Aberdeen and local area. 1980, the name was changed to Yui Kee Foods Company.

In 1980, it was renamed as "Yui Kee Foods Company". By the mid-80's, she had already developed her business as an importer of confectionery and non-staple foodstuffs from Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia through intermediaries, and began to wholesale her products to the whole territory of Hong Kong. Benefiting from China's reform and opening up, there were many opportunities for her to purchase Chinese goods directly and re-export them to overseas Chinese stores through intermediaries using the local convenience.

Towards the end of the 80's she started to send representatives to Europe and Japan to visit global food exhibitions.
She contacted manufacturers and prepared for the direct import of European and American foodstuffs. As a result, in 1991, she set up "Rui Ji Limited" and operated at the present location.

In the 90's, the special products imported at the request of our company brought a lot of fads in Hong Kong and China; they became popular in both Hong Kong and China.

In 1993, the Computer Computing Division was established to diversify into computer software and services. April 1, 2000
On April 1, 2000, the division was spun off into a subsidiary company, Ridgeway Computer Consultants Limited, specializing in network security products, support and consultancy services, serving Hong Kong and China.
The company specializes in network security products, support and consultancy services and will serve Hong Kong until 2022.

With the advantage of sourcing products from Germany, we started to try to develop wine import business. After patiently learning and searching for suitable suppliers, we finally succeeded in the beginning of 2005; we started the business of importing and selling wines, initially from the downstream section of the Moselle River in the famous Mosel-Saar-Ruwer production area in Germany; a world-renowned hillside vineyard. In addition to direct sales to private collectors and other clients, the company also arranges wine tastings and banquets from time to time. Today, top-quality Portuguese wines from Germany and Spain are also available.
