Alentejo DOC, 2011 14.5% Casa De Sabicos
The vineyard is located in Reguengos a subregion of a Alentejo. A Mediterranean climate region, with Red Chalky and Granitic Soils.
This 2011 Non filtered wine is a cuvee of two Varietals: 01/ Aragonez and 05/ Touriga Nacional. Fermented in stainless steel vats with temperature controlled maceration. Ages six months in French Oak Barrels.
Very deep red-blue wine color, a fruity taste, young for the time being but it would be fine after a length of time after bottle maturing, complex with notes of raspberries, smooth, good acidity, some astringency and persistent finish.
Very soon from now, perhaps in 2021; this wine will be reaching to a level of readiness and as great as their Alentejo DOC, 2008 14.4% Casa De Sabicos wine, it's retail price would follows jumped. So you know now is time to get hold onto a bottle or two.
